der_gewinner: (you think you're so dead hard?)
Achtung! I would like to register my disappointment in the LA Times. The front page of tonight's edition covers the trial of Shadi Enigmar (a.k.a. Zak Gramarye), as well it should. I take umbrage, however, with the focus of the article. “Phoenix the Forger? LA's Legend Implicated in Fraud.” Tell me, why should we glorify the crimes of this unscrupulous defence attorney, rather than to laud the hero who brought his crimes to light? I would very much have liked to see my own face on the front page of the Times. But what can you do? It is only my second disappointment today.

The first was not being allowed to finish presenting my case against Enigmar. His face, too, is on the front page. If you have seen him, do inform the police. We have unfinished business, and I hate to leave a mess.

But this is not why you are reading my Livejournal, ja? Let us lighten the mood. I have just recorded a new song on my webcam, here:

ETA: Ach, so even Youtube is going to disappoint me today? I cannot embed the video! That is it, I am going out for a beer.

You're very kind, Herr Ambassador. I enjoyed the performance, but the aftermath left something to be desired.

Incidentally, what is the drinking age in Cohdopia?

Then I'm glad it wasn't entirely a disappointment, and that you had a good time.

As it so happens, the drinking age in Cohdopia is the same as in your native Germany! (We have many close ties with Germany, as you're no doubt aware.) Sixteen, but eighteen for distilled beverages.

Deutschland's relations with Cohdopia have always interested me, particularly in the way they handled the split nations. We have come a long way from the Achsenmächte, ja?

Maybe celebrating my so bittersweet victory on Cohdopian soil is the way to go, ja? I'll see you soon!

Oh, you're referring to the protectorate government of the 1940s! Quite a tumultuous time.

Yes, I found the German diplomats' way of handling Cohdopia's separation quite inspiring, especially considering the ideological and linguistic differences between Babahl and Allebahst. That must have been a great challenge for them.

There have certainly been many dark times in the histories of our nations. Fortunately, they are behind us, and our peoples continue to be great friends and look towards the future together.

And you're most welcome in Cohdopia, of course!
